Emma is a senior solicitor working in George Berry's team.
Before joining Berry & Co in 2011, Emma gained experience in advising a wide variety of private, commercial, corporate and rural clients at a large Christchurch law firm. Prior to that Emma worked for four years at a boutique law firm in London, specialising in commercial property and telecommunications law. Emma is qualified as a solicitor in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Emma's experience includes;
• Advising on commercial, rural and residential property sale and purchase transactions and related financing
• Establishing personalised trust and other asset protection structures
• Advising on family succession issues
• Providing advice on all aspects of commercial leases
• Advising on various corporate, joint venture and other business structures
• Implementing and advising on private financing transactions, and
• Acting for a major UK telecommunications company on many different issues related to its network and retail property portfolio |
Outside of work Emma enjoys spending time with her young family, cooking and as a recent arrival in Oamaru, exploring the area and discovering all that North Otago has to offer. |
